    Recycled Glass Art

Vetrazzo combines recycled glass with a binder of cement, additives, pigments and other recycled materials such as fly ash - a waste by-product of coal burning power plants. All of the glass used in Vetrazzo is recycled, and it makes up approximately 85% of the final material. Their largest source of glass is the neighborhood curbside recycling programs, and the final color of the product is determined by the glass (recycled Skyy® Vodka bottles create the beautiful blue shown here).Other glass comes from post-industrial usage, windows, drinking glasses, stemware, automotive glass, stained glass, laboratory glass, reclaimed glass from building demolition, and other unusual sources such as decommissioned traffic light lenses. Because of the unique nature of the glass used in the production process, every Vetrazzo surface has its own history, and color offerings change over time depending on the sources available during production. Vetrazzo is comparable in strength, scratch resistance, thermal resistance, durability, and care and maintenance to granite, and can be used wherever granite or other natural stone surfaces are used.

    Red Light, Blue Light

The Faucet Light determines the temperature of the flowing water and shines a corresponding stream of light that changes as the water temperature varies, providing both safety and a sense of fun. Faucet Light replaces the aerator on the end of an existing faucet. When the water begins flowing through the device, the technology inside senses the temperature of the water and shines a corresponding colored light through the stream. When the water is cold, the light is blue. As the temperature increases the light stream changes from blue to red to alert the user that the water is getting hot. When the water is off, the light goes off. The patented device screws on to the end of the faucet in seconds and includes a set of two universal adapters to fit virtually every US faucet. It’s available in chrome and brushed silver finishes.

    Misty Morning

Incorporating a steam bath into one’s daily shower routine can significantly reduce the amount of water washed down the drain. In fact, an average regular shower uses approximately two-and-a-half gallons of water per minute, while a 20-minute Steamist® steam bath uses less than half a gallon. This means that a one-minute shower uses five times more water than a 20-minute steam bath. While a steam bath does not necessarily replace the cleansing function of the shower, Steamist recommends combining a short shower with a longer steam bath to cleanse, relax and rejuvenate without wasting water.

    Bathroom Glitz and Glam

“Glam” is everywhere – in film, fashion and the home. Personifying this concept of luxury living, Brizo introduces its exclusive RSVP Bath Suite, a complete bath collection that includes faucets, shower systems and accessories. Drawing on the influences of Art Nouveau, RSVP features a touch of “bling” with a choice of decorative metal, glass or crystal finials (including the exclusive STRASS® Swarovski® crystal shown here) available for the top of the lift rod on the bathroom faucet and the Roman tub faucet as well as all the accessories. The Brizo RSVP Bath Suite is available in three classic finishes: Polished Chrome, Brilliance® Brushed Bronze and Brilliance® Brushed Nickel. The collection features a widespread, a wall-mount and a deck-mount vessel bathroom faucet, the latter an essential accessory for popular vessel bowls and sinks.

    No More Boring Bathrooms

The Loft + Bath Series represents the next stage of evolution in ZOLi’s mission to turn utilitarian space in to a work of art. Exclusively manufactured in Spain, the Loft+Bath Series offers sinks, vanities and bath accessories in the highest grades of wood, glass, concrete, stainless steel, porcelain, leather and brass. Whether you’re attracted to a stainless sink with a leather wrapped cabinet and matching stainless hardware, or a concrete sink atop a beautiful glass counter over a contemporary wood cabinet, ZOLi’s Loft + Bath Series has something to appeal to every sophisticated taste. Shown here is a porcelain basin on top of a Wenge wood cabinet with red glass front panels.

    Essence of Water

Dornbracht believes that water has the power to transform, and used this concept to develop their latest series of bathroom faucets and fittings. Elemental Spa is the embodiment of ultimate luxury, but at the same time has been designed to underscore the very essence of water and its cleansing, therapeutic, restorative and nourishing qualities. The materials and shapes comprising this new suite for tub, lav and shower were orchestrated to yield a discreet source for the flow of the water, and seemingly become invisible, allowing the liquid itself to be hero and star. Many of the Elemental Spa housings are composed of white DuPont Corian®, an unexpected choice that can be interpreted as far humbler than marble, but chosen because that housing recedes into the background once the water appears. Diamond-like reflections in the cascade are a result of new plating technology and contribute to the ethereal quality of the experience.

    Stylishly ‘Green’

Waterfall Bath vanities were created by a designer who wanted to offer a complete collection that combined style with environmentally-friendly manufacturing practices. All Waterfall vanities are constructed of FSC-Certified woods with resins that contain no added formaldehyde. They can be finished in 13 color options of low-VOC, highly durable lacquer colors that range from sleek to whimsical. The countertops are available in CaesarStone or 3-Form brand 100% recycled material. The 3-Form surface is a material constructed of recycled HDEP (basically laundry detergent and milk jugs) for homeowners who want a truly green option.

    Amadea Collection

Villeroy & Boch’s unique union of classical inspiration and modern sensibility is beautifully exemplified in the Amadea collection. With a well-balanced basic oval form and sleek yet decorative ceramic contouring, the collection brings to mind the architectural elements of ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, with artful detail such as cornice bordering on the pedestal sink and on the toilet skirt. The result is a sleek, one-of-a-kind look that lends itself equally well to traditional and modern décors. Amadea is available in alpin (white), pergamon (buff), and edelweiss (matte white), all in the brand’s proprietary easy maintenance ceramicplus finish.

    In Cold Storage

Robern’s new M-series cabinets with Cold Storage are ideal for extending the life of high-end cosmetics, maintaining the quality of health and wellness products, or simply keeping beverages chilled and handy. The dual compartment cold storage cabinet is 20-by-30 inches tall, and has a generous depth of 8 inches, providing the consumer with one half of the cabinet space dedicated to storage at a refrigerator-like temperature. The other half allows for storage of toiletries which do not benefit from cold temperatures, such as tooth brushes, soaps, and other grooming tools.
